Elder Milton May jr. Was born on May 6th, 1942. He was the third eldest born to Mr. Milton May Sr. and Mother Jesse Lee Lamb-May Ellis. Avid fisherman, hunter, and fisher of men; he loved to teach the word of God. During his life he was self- employed as a Master Carpenter, and later married his childhood sweetheart Elsie Townsend on January 15th, 1977. To this Union was born one child in 1974. Elder Milton May Jr accepted the Lord as his personal savior at a Revival held at Fairbanks Church of God by faith under evangelist Elder watts in 1978 and he called to ministry under the leadership of Elder Joseph Camps Sr. Sunday January 11th, 1981. He preached his trial sermon August 1984 during the district meeting held in Palatka. Elder Milton May Jr. received his first assignment as the pastor of Archer Church of God by faith December 1986. he was reassigned multiple times to Hawthorne Church of God by faith in December of 1989; Jerusalem Church of God by faith in December of 1992; Williston Church of God by faith 1999; and finally, to Raleigh Church of God by faith where he served Faithfully for 17 years. There served as a teacher for the district ministers’ class for about 9 or 10 years, and also served on the Gainesville district superintendent board as the chaplain. He is survived by his Loving wife Elsie L. May Daughter Rachel Howell, Son Danny Redd, daughter Elovia Davis (Ja’Von) extended Family 3 Godchildren Kessler Hutchinson (D’Angela),Lavosier Denson (Jasmine) and Kindrell Hutchinson (katrina) Lee Smith (Wendy),Rail Blackshear (Willa Mae) Mother Queen Penny , and Mother Ginnie V.
