Albert Hines, 64, of, Valdosta, Georgia, went to be with the Lord on Friday, July 12, 2019. Born on September 29, 1954, in Beaumont, Texas, he was the third of three children of the late Lanzy Hines and Dorothy Ray Wiley. Albert Hines graduated from Charlton Pollard High School on May 28, 1973. He enlisted in the United States Army on August 8, 1973, and served at numerous stateside military duty stations to include overseas tours. He received his honorable retirement service discharge on August 31, 1997. Albert began his second career as a Civil Service Professional in the Transportation field. His most recent Civil Service Occupation was with the 23rd Logistics Readiness Squadron at Moody Air Force Base, Valdosta, GA., where he served as Fleet Management and Analyst Supervisor for approximately 10 years. Albert earned an Associates in Applied Science Transportation Degree, with honors, from Central Texas College, Killeen, TX, an Associates in Applied Science at Chicago City-Wide College, Chicago, Illinois, and attended the Department of the Army’s Management Staff College, Fort Belvoir, Virginia. Albert leaves behind a myriad of accomplishments and a legacy of determination and self-motivation; exemplary character and leadership traits that will be remembered by all. Albert Hines is survived by his wife Caroline K. (Smith) Hines; his brother Lanzy Hines, Jr. of Houston, TX, and sister; a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and other relatives; and many, many dear friends to cherish his memories.
